P5 Audio-visual advertisement

Brief: To create an commercial for a new sports drink which has an appeal to a target audience who is interested in maintaining health and fitness but which would not preclude a wider mass market audience. The commercial should feature a sporting theme.

The client feedback shows the that I can make improvements to the bottle and all the things that could alone with creating a new bottle, like the product name, the style, branding and the budget that goes with makes a bottle and the advertisement of the drink.

Summary

The way in which I made improvements from my client feedback is the fact the board wants a 'artist patterns behind the drinks name and font style to give the label a trendy enticing panache,' I feel that we have produced this as you can see from the advert the bottle is bright and clearly stands out. This fit in to the 'youth market in addition to the sports target market.'

Following safe working practices

Logging rushes/creating edit decision list

The screenshot below shows my logging rushes and they allow me to drag each clip on the editing bar to edit the advert. I can change the name of clips so that each clip makes sense to me, therefore making the purpose of the edit it easier to make the advert.

Producing and reviewing an off line edit

To edit my advert I used Adobe Premiere Pro to create the main body, this consisted of a lot of use of the vast array of tools available in the software.

The screenshot below shows the editing bar, which has the purpose of allowing me to bring the advert together by cutting and editing the advert.

The screenshot below shows the tool that I used on the edit bar to cut the clips in to small clips to the advert a tighter edit.

Apply appropriate visual effects and transitions

The screenshots below show the production process that had to happen the edit to bring the advert together, either to make the advert a tighter shot and more exciting or to add sound to give the advert a more dramatic effect. Also the use of video transition - cross dissolve, this allows the advert a more free flowing film, when the shots change from place to place on the edit.

Linking audio to visuals and applying audio effects

The edit bar allows me to add sound and video all at the same time so that they can play at the same time to give the advert effect. The Video bars and the Audio bars are split in to 3 bars each, therefore it allows me to layer the sound over the video and still have the ability to edit the video clips that are on a different layer and with the sound and the video it allows me to get the timings right with the music and the acting that is going on in the shot.
